Get to know our Technical Support Payroll Specialist, Jorge Camarena Jiménez! Before joining PickTrace in 2017, Jorge – or Camarena as we call him – had worked with PickTrace clients as HR & payroll manager and as an operations manager. With an such an extensive understanding of our customer’s needs-and an education in computer systems engineering to boot- it’s no wonder Camarena is such a star!

Describe yourself in 25 words or less:
I consider myself a serious person when I should be, but otherwise I like to laugh at everything – all day and every day!

Where did you grow up and what is your favorite memory of that place?
I was born in Sayula Jalisco, Mexico – where I have spent most of my life. My favorite childhood memory is when we could play in the streets without fear of anything.
Nací en Sayula Jalisco, México. Ahí he pasado la mayor parte de mi vida, mi recuerdo favorito es cuando de niño podíamos jugar por las calles sin temor a nada.
In school, what was your preferred subject and why?
I didn’t have a favorite subject but I liked the classes where we could relax.

How do you like to spend your free time? Any hobbies of note?
I really like riding my motorcycle & I like to go to the barn to drink [fresh] milk in a jug.

They don’t know that I work for PickTrace.

Before PickTrace, what was your most interesting or unusual job?
I worked for Hurst’s Agricultural Company and held the position of Human Resources and Payroll Manager.
En la Empresa Hurst’s Agrícola y desempeñaba el puesto de Encargado de Recursos Humanos y Nominas.
How would you describe your current role to a child?
We help companies manage systems in the field and in the office to pay the people who harvest what each company produces.
Ayudamos a las empresas con los problemas en campo y en oficia para pagarle a las personas que trabajan cosechando lo que cada empresa produce.
What has been your proudest moment since joining the PT team?
When I have gone on-site to help a new Pick Trace client get started.

What is your favorite part of working for PickTrace?
Being able to help people in the field to better work with PickTrace and teaching them how to use the system to make their operation more efficient.
