When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
- When I was really young I wanted to be the garbage man. In high school I wanted to be a doctor after going to the hospital with my grandfather a lot. I was actually pre-med in college, but realized I didn’t want to go to school for another 8 years, so then I pivoted to a business major instead
How did you get started in Sales?
- I got started in Sales because I had a friend who was doing it and he encouraged me to try it (cold calling). It’s been over a decade now. I like helping people be better at their jobs and and businesses be more efficient.
You’ve been with PickTrace about a year and a half – What’s a favorite memory from your time here?
- Any time we get the whole team together. I think my most fond memories are events like our offsites at Fairfield, or Kick-Off – being with everyone, especially people I don’t get to engage with a lot, like the Mexico team.
What are your hobbies and passions outside of work?
- Playing the guitar for over two decades. That never leaves, it’s kind of omnipresent – I do singer/songwriter stuff on acoustic, and more bluesy/rock stuff on the electric guitar.
- I love to travel. I’ve visited 30+ countries. Trying to explore more of the USA these days.
- I learned how to ski last year and I’m really getting into it. Shoot me a DM if you’re planning a ski trip! I golf – I’m terrible at it but still do it – it’s something to get outside and spend time with friends. I also walk my dog every day – it’s how I start every morning with some sun and fresh air.
- I love to cook; I’ve been cooking since I was a kid. Grilling and smoking meats is my specialty, but I also know my way around some veggies. I make espresso and a smoothie pretty much every day.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received – or do you have a mantra you live by?
- Just being in gratitude and not complaining. Someone always has it worse out there.
If you were a fruit or vegetable what would you be and why?
- Passionfruit is my all time favorite fruit because it’s tangy, sweet, and delicious. I don’t know how to tie that back to my personality but it’s my favorite. If there’s passionfruit-anything on any menu, I’ll get it.
